Until his untimely passing in October 2024, Tony was a lecturer in Media at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick.
His diverse interests, academic achievements and creative pursuits extended to many fields.
This website archives Tony’s various media, music, film and academic activities. Most recent of which is the November 2025 release of ‘Approaching Topiary’ his music project with John Byrne.
Ethnomusicology: Tony’s research interests included Music and Media, North Africa, Film Sound, Islam and Globalisation, Ireland, Cultural Politics, Soundscapes
Festivals, Sound Art: He was also involved in the curation of audiovisual festivals; sound art performance, composition for film, community soundscapes and other sustainable entanglements.
